Worst Blogger Ever!

So, my last post was in July. I am officially the Worst Blogger Ever! Well, so many things have happened since then. Jackson is now 10 months old and I seriously cannot believe that he will be a year old on Christmas Eve. This first year has gone by so fast and there are so many things I feel have pasted me by. I really don't take enough pictures of my baby and I spend too much time worry about the things I am not doing rather than what I have and what I am thankful for.

As so many people know, my father-in-law was diaognosed with Mylodisplaysia last November and he has been battling the disease ever since. It has been a long road, but since he has been in St. Louis at Barnes Jewish Hospital things are looking up. I know he can win this fight and through prayer and support I know he's going to be just fine. God has a bigger plan for him!

This September my Grandfather passed away at 93, he would have been 94 yesterday. Not even a month later on October 13, his wife of 69 years, and my Grandmother followed him to Heaven. They are now together again after only 20 days apart. Both of my Grandparents were a big part of my life and I miss them dearly. I am just now beginning to see characteristics in myself that were also characteristics of their personalities.

What beautiful lives they lived!

I am so thankful for their influences on my life. I know my Mom has had a difficult time losing both of her parents so close. I pray that God has given her the strength and closure she needs to get through this difficult time in her life, in all of our lives really. I am so thankful for such a wonderful and uncondionally loving mother, she means the the world to me. Another thing in my life I am thankful for is of course my little family and my baby! At school they had a little Halloween Parade where all of the older kids came to each room to trick-or-treat. The teachers invited all of the parents and we were able to help out. It was really cute. Jackson was a clown and did not like his hat, so I could only get one picture with it on. Oh well!

We skipped the Trick-or-treating this year because we figured he was too young, but next year definitely! While I was on my way home from work on Halloween night I was thinking Jackson's Halloween costume and I remembered that I had gotten a little Halloween themed outfit for him that he had never worn. I had the great idea of getting some family photos outside in our backyard in lieu of Trick-or-Treating. We got some pretty good pictures thanks to my sweet Mother-in-Law!
